Port Infrastructure Senior Structural Engineer

Sr. Structural Engineers with a background in Civil Engineering and Post Graduate degrees in Structural Engineering are invited to join our team for the development and modernization of Trivandrum Port. With 10+ years of experience in Project Management Consultancy (PMC) for major port projects, we seek candidates who can contribute to the growth of Kerala's maritime infrastructure.
This is an exciting opportunity for those with strong backgrounds in structural engineering, project management, and marine infrastructure to take charge of key structural components for port infrastructure, including breakwaters, jetties, quays, docks, and seawalls.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead Structural Engineering: Oversee the design, analysis, and execution of structural components for port infrastructure.
- Project Management Consultancy (PMC): Provide technical leadership and oversight for the execution of port infrastructure projects, ensuring quality standards, budget constraints, and project timelines.
- Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work closely with contractors, consultants, government agencies, and other engineers to ensure seamless coordination and integration of structural designs into the overall project.
- Risk & Safety Management: Oversee risk mitigation strategies and safety measures to ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and safety standards.
- Site Supervision & Quality Assurance: Supervise construction activities on-site, providing technical guidance, resolving issues, and ensuring high-quality standards for structural integrity and sustainability.
- Design Optimization: Implement advanced structural engineering principles to optimize designs for cost-effectiveness, resilience, and environmental sustainability.
- Project Documentation & Reporting: Prepare progress reports, design reviews, and technical documentation for stakeholders, ensuring transparency and compliance with all contractual and regulatory requirements.
- 10+ years of experience in structural engineering with a focus on marine and port infrastructure.
- Post Graduate degree in Structural Engineering, specializing in marine structures or coastal engineering.
- Proven experience in project management of large-scale port projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and managing multidisciplinary teams.
- Proficiency in structural engineering software such as STAAD Pro, ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE, and other tools for design and analysis.
- Strong understanding of marine structures, including their response to wave forces, tide variations, sediment movement, and marine environmental conditions.
- Ability to lead and manage teams, collaborate with multiple stakeholders, and ensure project milestones are met.
- Expertise in contract management, procurement, and ensuring compliance with local regulations and environmental standards.
- Excellent communication skills to present design concepts and project progress to stakeholders and clients.
