Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, with demonstrated proficiency in XERO software.

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and payroll processing.

They will also manage a portfolio of clients' accounts, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. Additionally, they will prepare financial statements, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

The Bookkeeper will provide expert advice on financial matters, including tax compliance, financial planning, and budgeting. They will ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.

Liaising with clients and internal stakeholders is essential to ensure effective communication and resolution of financial issues. Maintaining accurate records and documentation, ensuring confidentiality and data security, is also crucial.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • At least 2 years' experience in bookkeeping or accounting, with demonstrated proficiency in XERO software.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, as well as tax compliance regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong work ethic and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
