Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned professional to fill the role of Senior/Principal Engineer - Civil. As part of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing conceptual design and front-end engineering design (FEED) for substations, solar, wind, and battery energy storage systems (BESS) of utility scale.

  • You will be accountable for preparing and reviewing key civil deliverables, including overall site layouts, road and drainage layouts, structural design, calculations, earthworks, and bill of quantities.
  • In this capacity, you will develop and review general arrangement drawings of high-voltage substations, gas-insulated substations, high-voltage direct current (HVDC) systems, site layouts, roads, drainage layouts, administration buildings, and control buildings.
  • Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, including electrical, instrumentation, and process engineers is essential to ensure cross-disciplinary excellence.
  • As part of our project team, you will provide technical support to utility companies, plant owners, project developers, banks, and governments on new build plants and existing operational plant completion packages.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintaining effective communication with project teams and coordinating design activities with multi-disciplined project team members.
  • Assisting in the preparation of technical inquiry requests to vendors, participating in technical evaluations of vendor bid offers, and reviewing vendor drawings and documents.
  • Reviewing design calculations, ensuring vendor equipment specifications meet client requirements, and being within budgeted costs.
  • Leading projects and dealing with clients using hands-on experience in project management activities.
Requirements:
  • Possess a graduate or post-graduate degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Familiarity with Middle East projects is preferred, with experience in working in a lead role on large-size capital projects in India or the Middle East.
  • Experience in Power, Water, and Renewable Energy projects, such as solar, wind, and BESS, is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with software tools like AutoCAD and Civil 3D is an added advantage.
  • Experience working on projects with Middle East utilities, such as SEC, NGSA, or TRANSCO, is a strong differentiator.
