Citrix Solutions Architect

We are seeking an experienced Citrix Solutions Architect to join our team. As a key member of our IT infrastructure group, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Citrix technologies.

About the Role:

• Design and implement end-to-end virtual desktop solutions by analyzing business requirements, assessing existing infrastructure, and designing scalable, secure, and high-performance architectures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and ensure a smooth deployment and operation of virtual desktop solutions.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive and cohesive virtual desktop solutions using Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Citrix ADC, and Citrix Cloud with Azure virtual desktop services.

Responsibilities:Solution Design and Architecture

Design and develop scalable, secure, and high-performance architectures for end-to-end virtual desktop solutions.

Citrix Integration and Configuration

Design and integrate Citrix products, including Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Citrix ADC, and Citrix Cloud with Azure virtual desktop services.

Azure Virtual Desktop Configuration

Configure and manage Azure virtual machines, session hosts, virtual networks, and storage to create and maintain Azure virtual desktop environments.

Identity and Access Management

Design and implement identity and access management strategies, including integration with Azure Active Directory, multifactor authentication, and role-based access controls for virtual desktop environments.

Network Infrastructure

Design and configure network connectivity between on-premises infrastructure and Azure, including network security measures such as firewalls, VPNs, and load balancers.

Performance Optimization

Optimize virtual desktop environments for performance, scalability, and user experience by monitoring and tuning resource allocation, load balancing, and network bandwidth.

Security and Compliance

Implement security measures, including data encryption, access controls, and compliance requirements to protect virtual desktop environments and ensure compliance with industry regulations and organizational policies.

High Availability and Disaster Recovery

Design and implement high availability and disaster recovery solutions to minimize downtime and data loss.

Monitoring and Troubleshooting

Set up monitoring tools and processes to proactively monitor the virtual desktop infrastructure and identify and troubleshoot performance issues, system errors, and network connectivity problems.

Documentation and Collaboration

Create design documentation, implementation guides, and operational procedures and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful deployment and ongoing management of virtual desktop solutions.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Several years of experience as a Citrix Architect or similar role designing and implementing virtual desktop solutions using Citrix technologies.
• Strong knowledge of Azure virtual desktop services, including Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Active Directory, and virtual networks.
• Proficiency in Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Citrix ADC, and Citrix Cloud.
• Experience in network design, including connectivity options, firewalls, VPNs, and load balancers.
• Familiarity with identity and access management concepts, including Azure Active Directory, multifactor authentication, and role-based access controls.
• Understanding of performance optimization techniques, monitoring tools, and troubleshooting methodologies.
• Knowledge of security best practices, data encryption, access controls, and compliance requirements.
• Experience in designing high availability and disaster recovery solutions for virtual desktop environments.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
