Seeking a skilled Citrix Architect to lead our virtual desktop solutions.

Description

We are in need of an experienced professional to design, implement and maintain Citrix technologies. As a key member of our team, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, design scalable and secure architectures, and ensure smooth deployment and operation.

Responsibilities:

1. Design end-to-end virtual desktop solutions by analyzing business requirements, assessing existing infrastructure, and designing scalable, secure, and high-performance architectures.
2. Design and integrate Citrix products, including Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Citrix ADC, and Citrix Cloud with Azure virtual desktop services, to provide a comprehensive and cohesive virtual desktop solution.
3. Configure and manage Azure virtual machines, session hosts, virtual networks, and storage to create and maintain Azure virtual desktop environments, ensuring proper image management, user profile management, and application delivery mechanisms.
4. Design and implement identity and access management strategies, including integration with Azure Active Directory, multifactor authentication, and role-based access controls for virtual desktop environments.
5. Design and configure network connectivity between on-premises infrastructure and Azure, including network security measures such as firewalls, VPNs, and load balancers, to ensure secure and efficient data transfer.
6. Optimize virtual desktop environments for performance, scalability, and user experience, monitoring and tuning resource allocation, load balancing, and network bandwidth to ensure optimal performance.
7. Implement security measures, including data encryption, access controls, and compliance requirements, to protect virtual desktop environments and ensure compliance with industry regulations and organizational policies.
8. Design and implement high availability and disaster recovery solutions to minimize downtime and data loss, creating redundancy mechanisms, backup strategies, and failover mechanisms to ensure business continuity.
9. Set up monitoring tools and processes to proactively monitor the virtual desktop infrastructure, identify and troubleshoot performance issues, system errors, and network connectivity problems to maintain a stable and reliable environment.
10. Create design documentation, implementation guides, and operational procedures, collaborating with cross-functional teams, including infrastructure teams, security teams, and application owners, to ensure successful deployment and ongoing management of virtual desktop solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Several years of experience as a Citrix Architect or similar role designing and implementing virtual desktop solutions using Citrix technologies.
• Strong knowledge of Azure virtual desktop services, including Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Active Directory, and virtual networks.
• Proficiency in Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Citrix ADC, and Citrix Cloud.
• Experience in network design, including connectivity options, firewalls, VPNs, and load balancers.
• Familiarity with identity and access management concepts, including Azure Active Directory, multifactor authentication, and role-based access controls.
• Understanding of performance optimization techniques, monitoring tools, and troubleshooting methodologies.
• Knowledge of security best practices, data encryption, access controls, and compliance requirements.
• Experience in designing high availability and disaster recovery solutions for virtual desktop environments.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
