Senior Mechanical Design Expert

Drive innovation in aerospace mechanical design and system engineering.

The successful candidate will lead the development of cutting-edge thermal management systems, air management systems, life support systems, electromechanical products, high-temperature materials, coatings, sensors, predictive health monitoring, digital twins, AI/ML in mechanical design and analysis, and connected systems.

  • Lead the conception and maturation of technology roadmaps and technology insertion in collaboration with global partners and technical strategy organizations.
  • Develop new product and technology ideas with global advance tech partners, product and offering managers, and strategic marketing teams for internal and external R&D opportunities.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies, identify value-enhancing solutions, and differentiate Honeywell products through innovative technology integration.
  • Drive the execution and maturation of funded technology ideas from TRL 2 to TRL 6 level.
  • Collaborate with advanced technology business development teams to prioritize funding opportunities, manage customer contacts, and secure program wins.
  • Mentor engineering team members on technology trends and innovation.

Qualifications:

  • ME/M.Tech/BE/B.Tech in Engineering (Mechanical/Aerospace/Mechatronics) with 12+ years of experience in aerospace mechanical system and technology development.
  • Expertise in aerospace electromechanical products, thermal management, pneumatic valves, high-temperature materials, sensors, coatings, and mechanical design and analysis.
  • Demonstrated competency in advanced engineering and/or research and leading advanced engineering/research technology development programs.
