Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough analysis of sales profitability and return on capital employed (ROCE).
  • Perform in-depth analysis of sales performance, including:
  • COPA analysis to determine profitability by channel, region, state, SOF, and customer.
  • Profitability analysis by product group and SKU level.
  • Sales planning & forecasting to ensure accurate sales projections.
  • Provide data for marketing teams on export sales and domestic vs import content of raw materials.
  • Support documentation of the government's PLI scheme – domestic value addition on OE supplies.
  • Develop annual sales plans with detailed breakdowns of SKU-wise, category-wise, and segment-wise sales value and tonnage.
  • Compare previous budgets and current year estimates to inform business decisions.
  • Facilitate management sign-off of annual plan documents.
  • Manage annual operating plan (AOP) and rolling forecast processes.

Costing & Margin Analysis

  • Prepare daily product costing (cost sheets) for marketing requirements.
  • Develop and maintain actual monthly gross margin statements across multiple levels, including:
  • Product-wise, category-wise, segment-wise.
  • OEM – customer-wise / product category-wise.
  • Exports – country-wise / customer-wise.
  • Prepare monthly gross margin projections with detailed breakdowns by SKU and segment.
  • Conduct bill of material (BOM) and gross margin analysis, including:
  • Nil margin vs nil margin comparison.
  • Gross margin projections vs nil margin.
  • OE product cost & GM analysis (quote vs SOP vs actual sales).
  • Year-on-year comparative analysis.

Inventory & Revenue Reporting

  • Prepare finished goods (FG) holding days report aligned with forward sales plan.
  • Calculate and analyze norms vs actuals across various levels.
  • Deliver accurate and timely revenue reports for senior management review.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or business.
  • Professional certifications preferred: MBA, ACCA, or CIMA.
  • 3–5 years of experience in marketing finance or financial planning & analysis.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and database management systems.
  • Strong expertise in financial modeling, data reconciliation, and reporting automation.

  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and advanced financial analysis techniques.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to interpret changing sales trends and influence decision-making.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as SAP and financial planning software.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
