Head of Compliance

The ideal candidate will be a qualified Company Secretary with a minimum of 10 years of experience in compliance and corporate governance, adhering to all statutory, regulatory, and internal governance standards. You will oversee all compliance functions, focusing on corporate governance, risk management, and statutory filings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Corporate Governance & Board Support: Advise the board of directors on matters of corporate governance, ensuring efficient operations. Facilitate board and committee meetings, preparing agendas, and ensuring accurate minute-taking.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to all relevant statutory and regulatory requirements, including the Companies Act and SEBI regulations.
  • Acquisition & Integration: Manage and integrate the compliance functions of newly acquired companies.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate potential compliance risks across the organization.
  • Statutory Filings: Oversee the preparation and timely filing of regulatory documents and returns.
  • Responding to Regulators: Ensure prompt resolution to queries / notices / summons issued by regulatory authorities.
  • Internal Audits: Conduct regular internal audits to ensure adherence to regulations and internal policies.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Professional Qualifications: Mandatory qualified Company Secretary (CS). Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is a strong advantage.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in senior compliance, corporate secretarial, or governance role.
  • Legal & Financial Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of Indian corporate laws, financial regulations, accounting standards, and taxation.
  • Regulatory Expertise: Strong understanding of regulatory filings and procedures.
