Lead Controls Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned Lead Controls Engineer to oversee the design and implementation of advanced control systems for large-scale Baggage Handling Systems (BHS) and Parcel Handling Solutions.

The successful candidate will lead a dynamic team of engineers, ensuring skill and competency development through structured training programs and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

  • Manage team escalations, daily resource allocation, hiring, and subcontracting activities.
  • Identify training needs and implement targeted development initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Sales Engineering, Project Management, Service, and R&D teams as a consultant.
  • Monitor project risks and opportunities, driving improvements across teams.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent communication and collaboration abilities, and a proactive mindset. They should possess in-depth knowledge of Siemens PLC (mandatory) and Allen Bradley PLC (preferred).

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Design and execution of integrated control systems.
  2. Alignment of control designs with mechanical, electrical, and software project goals.
  3. Preparation and execution of detailed project plans and schedules.

Required qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical, or Instrumentation Engineering (or related field).
  • 10–12 years of experience in PLC programming (Siemens required; Allen Bradley a plus).
  • Prior experience in Airport Baggage Handling Systems or Parcel Handling Solutions strongly preferred.
