Physiotherapy Principal

The Physiotherapy Principal will be responsible for leading the college to achieve excellence in teaching, clinical practice, research, and professional development. This role requires a strong academic leader who can develop and implement programs aligned with university norms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Academic Leadership
    • Develop and implement academic programs that meet industry standards.
    • Supervise curriculum development, teaching methodologies, and continuous assessment.
    • Guide faculty in research, publications, and participation in academic forums.
    • Ensure effective clinical training and integration with hospital services.
  • Administrative & Managerial
    • Oversee day-to-day administration of the Physiotherapy Department.
    • Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and guidelines.
    • Recruit, mentor, and evaluate faculty and staff performance.
    • Prepare budgets and manage resources effectively.
  • Quality & Compliance
    • Ensure adherence to accreditation standards and maintain proper records.
    • Facilitate audits, inspections, and approvals from governing bodies.
  • Stakeholder Engagement
    • Build collaboration with healthcare institutions, universities, and professional bodies.
    • Organize workshops, conferences, and other events to enhance learning exposure.

The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. A minimum of 15 years of teaching/clinical experience, including at least 5 years in a Professor/Head role, is required. Education: MPT / Ph.D. in Physiotherapy (specialization desirable in Orthopedics, Neurology, or Cardio-respiratory).
