Backend Developer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Backend Developer with expertise in Spring Boot and Java to design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance backend services and APIs.

The ideal candidate will have 3–6 years of professional experience in backend development and strong proficiency in Java (Java 8+ preferred). Hands-on experience with Spring Boot and Spring Framework is required, as well as a strong understanding of REST API design principles.

Responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining RESTful APIs and backend services using Spring Boot and Java, collaborating with frontend developers, DevOps, and product teams to deliver high-quality features, implementing microservices architecture, and ensuring service reliability and scalability.

Key skills and qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Java (Java 8+ preferred)
  • Hands-on experience with Spring Boot and Spring Framework
  • Strong understanding of REST API design principles
  • Experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and ORMs (Hibernate/JPA)
  • Familiarity with Git, branching strategies, and agile development processes
