**Job Title:** Backend Software Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and experienced software engineer to design, build, and scale our applications using modern Java and Spring Boot.

Job Description:

Our team is looking for a highly motivated and passionate backend software engineer who will take ownership of our core systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and distributed system design.

Responsibilities include designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable backend services and robust REST APIs using Java and Spring Boot. This role also involves optimizing and managing MySQL and PostgreSQL databases, focusing on performance, schema design, and query tuning.

The successful candidate will work with AWS SQS to build asynchronous, event-driven workflows that ensure system reliability and efficiency. They will conduct thorough code reviews, enforce coding standards, and help guide junior engineers.

Additionally, they will take end-to-end ownership of features from gathering requirements and design to deployment and monitoring. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including frontend and product, to deliver high-quality solutions.

Requirements:

  • Strong Foundation: Deep understanding of data structures, algorithms, and distributed system design.
  • Technical Expertise: Proven experience with Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful API development.
  • Database Master: Proficiency in SQL performance tuning and database optimization.
  • Cloud Savvy: Hands-on experience with AWS SQS or other messaging queues.
  • Problem Solver: Demonstrated ability to own and drive projects from concept to completion.
  • Excellent Communicator: Strong verbal and written communication skills with a collaborative mindset.
