Job Role: Data Engineering Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to collaborate with our cross-functional teams.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement scalable data pipelines using big data technologies such as Hadoop, preferably in AWS (Elastic Map Reduce), Athena, Glue, Spark, HDFS, DFS, Zookeeper, Cluster Awareness, EC2, Lambda.
  • Develop expertise in programming languages like Python, Scala, R, HQL, and ETL tools including Airflow, Ooze, Sqoop, KAFKA, KSQL.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop effective data models.
  • Utilize database skills in Microsoft SQL Server, Postgres, MySQL, AWS Aurora, RDS.
  • Perform debugging and optimization of existing code, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Monitor production systems and ensure smooth operation.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with caching technologies like memcached.
  • Knowledge of NoSQL systems, including Redis or DynamoDB.
  • Familiarity with AWS storage technologies such as S3, EMRFS, Aurora, Nitro.
