Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled Data Engineer / Analytics Specialist with a passion for building data-driven systems and delivering actionable insights. This role involves designing scalable data pipelines, implementing robust data storage solutions, and enabling advanced analytics to drive business growth and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain ETL pipelines for both structured and unstructured data.
  • Implement scalable data storage solutions to capture and process user behavior and session data.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards to monitor KPIs such as funnel conversions, retention, revenue, and engagement metrics.
  • Enable predictive analytics for user lifetime value (LTV), churn prediction, and performance monitoring (e.g., astrologer performance).
  • Collaborate with AI/ML engineers to provide clean, enriched, and production-ready datasets for machine learning models.
  • Continuously improve data quality, reliability, and accessibility across the organization.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Experience: 4+ years of professional experience in data engineering, data analytics, or a related role.

  • Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra).

  • Hands-on experience with data pipeline frameworks such as Airflow, Kafka, and Spark.
  • Strong understanding of ETL/ELT processes, data modeling, and schema design.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and their data services (e.g., Redshift, BigQuery, Snowflake).

  • Familiarity with BI tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker for building interactive dashboards.

  • Analytical Mindset: Ability to translate business needs into data models, KPIs, and insights.

  • Collaboration Skills: Excellent communication and teamwork skills to work with product, engineering, and data science teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with predictive modeling or supporting ML workflows.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD practices for data pipelines and infrastructure as code.
  • Familiarity with data governance, security, and compliance best practices.
