Mobile Application Automation Test Engineer

Overview of the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mobile Application Automation Test Engineer to join our QA team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automation test suites for both our Customer App and Driver App (Android & iOS). This role requires strong expertise in Mobile, API testing, web testing, and CI/CD integrations, ensuring end-to-end quality of our food delivery platform.

  1. Design, implement, and maintain automated test scripts for Android and iOS apps using Java-based automation frameworks (Appium, TestNG/JUnit).
  2. Execute and manage automation tests across multiple applications simultaneously.
  3. Perform API testing to validate backend services and data integrity.
  4. Contribute to Web automation testing for admin, restaurant, and partner portals.
  5. Run automated tests on Sauce Labs (or similar device farms) and analyze detailed result reports.
  6. Integrate automation scripts into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.).
  7. Use Docker containers for test environment setup, parallel execution, and scalability.
  8. Collaborate with developers, QA, and product teams to define test coverage, ensure feature readiness, and troubleshoot defects.
Key Qualifications

The following skills and qualifications are essential for success in this role:

  • Strong expertise in Java programming for test automation.
  • Proficiency in automation frameworks (Appium, intelliJ, TestNG, JUnit, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience with Mobile Testing (Android & iOS).
  • Experience in API Testing (Postman, REST Assured).
  • Knowledge of Web Testing (Selenium/WebDriver).
  • Experience with Docker for scalable test execution.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based test environments like Sauce Labs, BrowserStack.
