Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Model Development Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and validating wholesale risk models, ensuring their accuracy and reliability in predicting default portfolios.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing rating scales and calibration methods.
  • Monitoring model performance and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Collaborating with data engineering teams to streamline data pipelines.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in statistics and mathematics, with at least 4-5 years of banking experience, preferably in related areas. A postgraduate or professional qualification in risk management or finance is highly desirable.

Additional requirements include:

  • Excellent analytical skills and knowledge of financial risk management.
  • Proficiency in R, Python, SAS, Excel, Visual Basic, SQL, and Oracle.
  • Experience of developing teams in a multi-jurisdictional and matrixed organization.
