Job Description:

The role of Principal Legal Counsel involves providing legal and compliance solutions to business. This position requires a strong background in corporate compliance, with experience in managing technology and enterprise-wide compliance management programs.

A key member of the Legal Department, the successful candidate will work with a highly skilled team to provide strategic advice on corporate compliance matters, including advising on whistleblower programs and negotiating remediations.

  1. Compliance Program Management: Implement and maintain Infosys' Whistleblower Program with global and regional reach, comprising seven pillars of efficient and effective corporate compliance.
  2. Investigation and Remediation: Lead global investigations on a range of issues, negotiate and implement remediations, and contribute to the Compliance & Integrity Plan.
  3. CORporate Governance: Contribute information and recommendations to Compliance & Integrity Plan reviews, prepare action plans, resolve problems, identify trends, determine system improvements, and implement changes.
  4. Regulatory Knowledge: Have exposure and understanding of key compliance and regulatory regimes applicable to Infosys, such as Whistleblower Regulations, Anti-Bribery - Anti-Corruption, Anti-Trust, Confidentiality, and commensurate processes and controls.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • JD or equivalent qualification with minimum relevant experience as a compliance counsel.
  • Additional qualifications, such as CA/CFA, preferred.
  • Extensive report development experience and policy and procedure development experience in a multinational environment with cultural and ethnic diversity.
  • Analytical skills relating to business processes, business data, and interpersonal relations.
  • Public speaking and business presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of IT industry regulatory standards, including Anti-Corruption, Anti-Trust, Trade Controls etc.
  • Independent project management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills.
