Performance Tester Role

The team is seeking a Performance Tester to play a vital role in developing a comprehensive performance testing strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop technical expertise in performance/load testing methodologies.
  • Design solutions for supporting Cloud and CI/CD for various applications.
  • Communicate effectively across multiple teams/vendors, different personnel, when required.
  • Monitor Server metrics using APM tools.
  • Participate in continuous improvement measures to increase automation effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Innovate and implement solutions for industry-standard requirements.
  • Analyze business requirements, solution designs, process documentation etc., for identifying feasible business critical transactions.
  • Implement best performance test practices and standards as part of Enterprise solutions.
Operational Management
  • Conduct endurance, stress, load, volume testing to validate software applications and infrastructure stability and performance.
  • Provide performance testing software systems support for respective business units.
  • Coordinate and execute Test Cases, scripts, and performance test execution.
  • Design, develop, and execute scripts validating test cases defined within projects' test plans.
  • Perform load testing across multiple messaging protocols (including HTTP), focusing on application performance, validating application response and outputs accurately reflecting business requirements.
People Leadership
  • Mentor and guide junior team members.
Qualifications and Skills
  • 7+ years of experience in performance testing.
  • 5+ years of experience with OpenText LoadRunner using Citrix, RDP, Java, and mobile technologies and database.
  • Significant experience working with JMeter and APM tools including New Relic and Graphana.
  • Proven experience with SOAP Web Services and RESTful Web Services testing using SOAP UI, Postman, and Swagger.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in performance testing principles, techniques, and standards.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in software development lifecycle (SDLC) and software quality assurance (SQA) processes and practices.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in CI/CD tools and practices.
  • Experience working on continuous improvement projects is desirable.
  • Experience working in distributed delivery models with teams spread across different regions is advantageous.
