Key Role: Data Automation Manager

This key role involves managing the implementation of functional initiatives in the department and leading data-driven audit planning, including data analytics strategies to identify high-risk areas.

Responsibilities:
  • Support the global head of analytics assurance in delivering the team's vision and development roadmap.
  • Manage the implementation of functional initiatives in the department.
  • Lead data-driven audit planning, including data analytics strategies to identify high-risk areas.
  • Develop and maintain the data infrastructure.
  • Communicate with stakeholders about audit requirements for data access on an ongoing basis.
  • Collaborate with heads of audit in the collection and analysis of data for both continuous auditing purposes and planning insights.
  • Build and manage relationships with stakeholders across the business.
  • Deliver insightful analysis that enables audit teams to achieve their objectives.
  • Research, define, test, and implement future analytics technology or infrastructure needs.
Requirements:
  • 9+ years of experience as a data engineer or in a similar role.
  • Expertise in programming languages such as SQL, Python, and visualisation tools.
  • Strong Python development skills, including use of Jupyter notebook to prepare data and gain data insights.
  • Solid working understanding of common data formats.
  • Experience in engineering data pipelines from data acquisition and ingestion through the data lake.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to deliver high-quality audits with proven experience in automation.
  • Experience of leading teams and managing people.
  • Strong communication skills and confidence in written and verbal presentation to stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field.
