Cloud Architecture Position Overview

The ideal candidate for this role is a seasoned cloud professional who manages service delivery and practice building, provides strategic advisory services, conducts market research, and develops data-driven recommendations to enhance business performance.

  • Responsibilities:
  • Shape business requirements into an offering that brings value to the client. This individual will be a self-starter who enjoys strategic problem-solving and guiding client requirements. Strong communication skills are essential to success in this role.
  • Solution: define the solution, resource plan, and implementation approach. Identify top cloud architecture solutions to successfully meet business needs.
  • Drive internal processes execution in relation to ITIL lifecycle practices.
  • Deliver cloud implementation projects end-to-end from business case, roadmap to deployment.
  • Apply non-functional requirements and technical knowledge in the cloud domain to drive robust solution design.
  • Senior client stakeholder management: serve as the primary conduit between teams and clients during discovery.
  • Build capability of the cloud practice and enable effective management and delivery.
  • Manage a team responsible for their performance and career progression.
  • Provide strategy on key capability areas against market trends and development.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environments.
  • Professional experience architecting/operating solutions built on Microsoft Azure/AWS.
  • Experience working within software development.
  • Working knowledge of software development tools or DevOps methodologies.
  • History of successful technical consulting and/or architecture engagements with large-scale customers or enterprises.
  • Demonstrated presentation skills with comfort speaking with executives, IT Management, and developers.
  • Effective communication across internal and external organizations.

Desirable Competencies:

  • Domain knowledge on Microsoft Azure/AWS Cloud Platforms.
  • Cloud cost control or FINOPS framework experience.
  • Knowledge of platform implementation methodology.
  • Proven work experience as a Cloud Architect or similar role.
  • Positive attitude and commitment to delivering quality work.
  • Excellent knowledge of cloud computing technologies and current computing trends.
  • Effective written and verbal communication to articulate complicated cloud reports to management and partners.
  • Relevant training and/or certifications as a Cloud Architect.

Certifications (Good to Have):

  • AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate.
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate.
  • Cloud Security Alliance (CSA) Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge (CCSK).
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
  • Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP).
  • Google Certified Professional (GCP) Cloud Architect.
