Cloud Engineering Leader

As a seasoned Cloud Engineering Leader, you will be responsible for spearheading the development and implementation of a robust cloud platform strategy that fosters business growth and operational efficiency.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to define priorities and drive innovation in data engineering and platform governance.
  • Design and implement end-to-end data pipelines utilizing cloud services such as S3, Glue, Redshift, Athena, EMR, Kinesis, DynamoDB, and SageMaker.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing scalable, secure, and compliant cloud-native platforms that align with business objectives.
  • Applying Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles to provision and manage cloud resources efficiently.
  • Leading platform governance initiatives to ensure compliance with security and operational standards.
  • Providing technical guidance and mentorship to engineering teams on secure coding practices, compliance, and architectural principles.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to design and implement effective solutions that meet business requirements.

Requirements include:

  • 12+ years of experience in platform engineering, data architect, data engineering, or solution architecture with a strong background in cloud computing.
  • Expertise in building scalable, secure, and compliant cloud-native platforms with a proven track record of driving business outcomes.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in managing cross-functional teams and driving strategic initiatives.

Desired Skills include:

  • Hands-on experience with cloud services, big data, and analytics ecosystems.
  • Advanced programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala with expertise in software development lifecycle methodologies.
  • Proficiency in Terraform (IaC) and DevOps tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI/CD.
  • Strong understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases with experience in designing and implementing database architectures.
