About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Application Packaging Consultant to support the preparation, testing, and release of software within customer environments. This involves incident resolution and request fulfillment, as well as contributing to the BAU support of Endpoint environments.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the appropriate packaging and delivery approach is used for each application.
  • Execute the steps of the application packaging process within SLA limits, including application intake, packaging (utilizing various tools), technical testing, documentation, deployment, maintenance, and resolving incidents and requests related to packages.
  • Liaise with change management, customers, application owners, and vendors as needed.
  • Manage and support customer environments built on Windows client operating systems, Active Directory Group Policy, Microsoft Defender, SoftwareCentral, and the Microsoft Intune product family.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have at least 4 years of experience in preparing applications for deployment on Windows Operating Systems, using available setup commands/scripting and repackaging/customizing setup applications with tools like InstallShield, RayPack, etc.

Required Skills

  • Thorough knowledge of MSI and MSIX packaging frameworks.
  • Proficient in Windows 11 and AD Group Policies.
  • Intermediate PowerShell Scripting and basic VB scripting skills for automating application installations.
  • Operational knowledge of Microsoft Intune and Configuration Manager for application creation/integration and deployment.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience preparing applications for Citrix environments.
  • Microsoft Certifications (e.g., MD-100: Windows 10).
  • Experience supporting multiple customer environments simultaneously.
