Pharmacy Technician Career Opportunities

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in the healthcare industry, working closely with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to provide quality patient care.

Job Description:

The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in healthcare and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting pharmacists with medication dispensing, maintaining accurate records, and providing excellent customer service to patients and customers.

Responsibilities:
  • Training Program: Participate in a structured training program to learn the fundamentals of pharmacy operations, drug dispensing, and customer service.
  • Classroom Sessions: Attend classroom sessions, workshops, and on-the-job training to acquire the necessary knowledge and skills.
  • Medication Dispensing: Assist pharmacists in accurately dispensing prescription medications to patients.
  • Prescription Processing: Gain knowledge of prescription processing systems and procedures, and assist in entering and processing prescription orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Inventory Management: Learn to manage and organize pharmacy inventory, including stock rotation and expiration date checks, to ensure that stock levels meet customer demand.
  • Customer Service: Interact with patients and customers in a professional and friendly manner, providing information on over-the-counter medications and healthcare products.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in pharmacy technology or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
  • Knowledge of pharmacy operations and procedures
