Electrical Systems Design Specialist

About this role:

We are seeking an Electrical Systems Design Specialist to design electrical systems for oil and gas production facilities and midstream operations.

  • Develop and prepare electrical designs, layouts, and plans using AutoCAD.
  • Collaborate with engineers and project managers to understand project requirements and specifications.
  • Ensure all designs comply with industry standards and regulations.
  • Review and revise designs based on feedback from engineers and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate records of all designs and revisions.
  • Assist in the preparation of project documentation and reports.

Key qualifications include:

  • Diploma or degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an Electrical Design Engineer, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD software and other relevant design tools.
  • Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and industry standards.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred skills include:

  • Experience with 3D modeling software.
  • Knowledge of oil and gas production facilities and midstream operations.
  • Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and standards.
