We are seeking an experienced foundation designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering and structural design.

About the Role

The successful applicant will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and optimizing wind turbine generator foundations to ensure safety, reliability, and compliance with international standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and optimize various types of WTG foundations, including gravity-based, spread footing, piled, rock-anchored, shallow mat, ribbed beam, etc.
  • Perform structural load and stress calculations, considering factors such as gravity, wind, seismic, and fatigue.
  • Select and validate construction materials for efficiency and sustainability.
  • Prepare and review design basis reports, bill of quantities (BOQs), drawings, and calculations.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, including BIS, ASCE, AISC, SBC, Eurocode, and others.
  • Collaborate with geotechnical, hydrology, BoP, electrical, and CTS teams.
  • Support certification processes with external agencies.
  • Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Provide technical support to business development, procurement, EPC partners, and consultants.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Structures.
  • Master's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering is preferred.
  • 8-12 years of experience in the Power and Utilities sector, with a focus on renewable energy foundations.
  • Proficiency in software tools, including STAAD Pro, SAP2000, RFEM/RSTAB, SAFE, ETABS, and PLAXIS 2D/3D.
  • Expertise in WTG foundation design, geotechnical risk assessment, hydrology, seismic analysis, and civil design codes.
