Mep Designer

This is a technical job position for an MEP designer.

  • We are seeking a skilled Mep Designer to join our team.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience in producing concept design, schematic, development, and construction design of plumbing and firefighting systems as per architect's layout, client requirements, and specifications.
  • Key responsibilities include creating tender drawings for plumbing and firefighting systems (waste, soil, rain water, sprinkler, hose reel, and fire extinguisher).
  • The successful candidate will also be responsible for providing calculated notes if required.
  • Additionally, the Mep Designer will prepare shop drawings for submission and resubmission (plumbing, fire fighting system drawing).
  • Select and prepare materials for submission.
  • Contact suppliers to request quotations and technical documents if needed.
  • Take off bill of quantities (BOQ) for firefighting and plumbing systems (sprinkler heads, pipes, sanitary fixtures, etc.).
  • Prepare information regarding design, structure specifications, materials, equipment, estimated costs, and construction time.
  • Closely coordinate with electrical, mechanical, architectural, and structural teams.
  • Direct activities of workers engaged in preparing drawing and specification documents. Plan project layouts.
  • Prepare scale drawings.
  • Collaborate with supervisors in preparing technical reports and installation on site.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Prepare project schedules, designs, and constructions.
  • Prepare progress reports, daily reports, weekly reports, and monthly reports.
  • Prepare material lists.
  • Prepare costing for bidding.
