Reinsurance Operations Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Reinsurance Operations Specialist.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing reinsurance accounts, processing claims, and ensuring full contractual compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process reinsurance accounts, including premiums, claims, and brokerage;
  • Ensure accuracy in financial transactions and adherence to process, quality, and control standards;
  • Timely and accurate handling of claims, including proper indexation and data capture;
  • Maintain portfolio financials and ensure timely fund collection (Accounts Receivable);
  • Manage follow-ups and escalate unresolved issues appropriately;
  • Ensure compliance with all internal, external, and regulatory reporting requirements;
  • Effectively manage own workload to meet service and business expectations;
  • Engage directly with internal partners and external clients to resolve operational issues;
  • Ensure professional client communication and take ownership of service quality;
  • Collaborate across teams, functions, and geographies to meet internal client needs;
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Line Manager.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Insurance, or related fields;
  • At least 2 years of experience in reinsurance, insurance, banking, accounting, or finance operations;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; strong numerical aptitude;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills;
  • Self-motivated team player with a high sense of accountability and commitment;
  • Capable of working effectively in a team, including in virtual or cross-functional setups;
  • Able to challenge the status quo and manage multiple business partners;
  • Exposure to digital tools, automation, or big data is a plus;
  • Insurance/Finance-related certifications are an added advantage.
