Corporate Planning Opportunity

We are seeking an accomplished Associate Corporate Planner to join our organization. The role will be part of the Corporate Planning Management (CPM) Division, which unifies Finance, Planning, Spend Management, Operational Risk and Resilience, and CPM Engineering teams to deliver business planning and analytics across the firm.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work closely with all CPM Pillars and different functions across the firm to monitor, test, and evaluate processes, systems, and controls to ensure their performance and compliance. This includes developing an in-depth knowledge of the risk and control profile across Corporate Planning Management, partnering with the CPM Pillars to understand residual risks, and conducting comprehensive reviews and evaluations of processes, controls, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a deep understanding of the risk and control profile across Corporate Planning Management.
  • Partner with the CPM Pillars to understand residual risks and engage across the front-to-back office to apply lessons learned to improve the risk and control framework.
  • Conduct thorough reviews and evaluations of processes, controls, and procedures to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and firm-wide policies and standards.
  • Perform risk assessments and gap analysis to identify remediation requirements and areas of improvement, and facilitate development of action plans to address any identified deficiencies.
  • Provide risk management consulting to support the business in designing and implementing risk mitigation strategies, business processes, and business controls.
  • Advise, challenge, and inform the CPM Pillars on recommended ways to mitigate risk and review action items to ensure that risk is being sufficiently addressed.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of Risk Management, Control Testing, and relationship between controls and mitigating risks.
  • Exposure to qualitative and quantitative controls and data testing across financial products.
  • Able to design and execute control testing procedures and test scripts.
  • Proactive with strong analytical orientation, lateral thinking, organizational influencing skills, and attention to detail.
  • Able to navigate data sets, develop metrics, and perform analysis using metrics to identify trends and anomalies.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency with data analysis software and tools.
  • Excellent communication skills to clearly articulate issues and ideas with different levels across CPM, Risk, and Compliance stakeholders as necessary.
Qualifications
  • Relevant Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Risk Management, or equivalent qualification with an excellent academic record.
  • 5 years of experience in control Monitoring, Testing, and/or Risk, Compliance, Operational Risk Management, and/or Vendor Management, Procurement Operations.
  • Ability to work independently under general supervision with latitude for initiative and independent judgment.
  • Ability to consult, build, maintain solid working relationships in and outside of the CPM division.
