Transportation Coordinator Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Transportation Coordinator to manage the flow of goods from pickup to delivery.

  • Monitor driver and truck locations to ensure timely pickups and deliveries
  • Manage load assignments and updates in transportation management software
  • Coordinate with drivers to track their progress and resolve any issues that may arise during transit
  • Verify and upload proof of delivery, receipts, and other documentation for billing purposes
  • Communicate effectively with shippers, brokers, and customers through phone calls and emails
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in transportation coordination or dispatching
  • Proficiency in transportation management software and systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Responsibilities:
  • Manage daily transportation operations to ensure efficient and timely delivery of goods
  • Collaborate with drivers and other teams to resolve any issues that may impact transportation operations
  • Maintain accurate records and reports to support transportation planning and optimization
