Financial Analyst

A financial analyst plays a vital role in the organization by analyzing and interpreting financial data to make informed business decisions. This includes preparing and analyzing historical financial statements, understanding balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements.

The financial analyst must be able to identify key performance indicators (KPIs), emerging trends, relevant industry updates, competitive environment, associate risks, and relevant valuation metrics to provide an overview and conclude investment thesis on companies under coverage.

They will also conduct extensive company valuations involving approaches such as discounted cash flow (DCF) analysis, dividend discount model (DDM), trading multiples, and economic value added (EVA).

Additionally, they will prepare company profiles; analytical reports/decks; earning and flash notes; quarterly updates; coverage, sector, and theme-based reports; newsletters; technology primers, etc.

Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and analyzing historical financial statements
  • Understanding balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements
  • Identifying key performance indicators (KPIs) and emerging trends
  • Conducting extensive company valuations
  • Preparing company profiles and analytical reports

Requirements:

  • CA/CFA with relevant 4– 6 years of experience in financial modeling, LBO models, DCF/ relative valuations
  • Ability to identify and solve issues effectively and within deadlines
  • Strong accounting, financial analysis skills, and English writing skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
