The Operating Theater Assistant plays a pivotal role in upholding the highest standards of patient care and safety within the ophthalmic operating room. Key responsibilities include maintaining accurate records, ensuring strict adherence to established protocols, and providing support during surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain precise and up-to-date records of all OT activities and ensure rigorous adherence to protocol.
- Demonstrate expertise in sterilization, fumigation, and Central Sterile Supply Department (CSSD) procedures.
- Conduct thorough cleaning and maintenance checks on instruments and equipment to guarantee optimal functionality.
- Assist ophthalmic surgeons during surgical procedures, providing essential support as required.
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in an operating theater setting, preferably with ophthalmic specialization.
This role demands exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively within a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be able to maintain composure under pressure and prioritize tasks efficiently.
