Job Title: Technical Specialist

About the Role

The role involves putting production back together when we don't have a known workaround and maintaining software currency.

Key Requirements
  • 15+ years of technology experience with 10+ years in application development and/or support roles
  • Extensive experience with Cloud Technology, preferably Azure
  • Technical expertise in .NET, C#, Jenkins for building packages, and Octopus Deploy
  • Knowledge of CI/CD, Automated Deployments, Automated Testing, Build Servers, and Software/Source Code Configuration Management
  • Experience with Platform automation tools, Workflow tools, and verbal communication skills
Job Description

The job holder will design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software. They will also develop flowcharts, layouts, and documentation to identify requirements solutions, write well-designed high-quality testable code, and produce specifications and determine operational feasibility.

The role involves integrating software components into fully functional platforms, applying proactive hands-on design and implementation of best practice CI/CD, coaching mentoring of other Service Team members, developing/contributing to software verification plans and quality assurance procedures, documenting and maintaining software functionality, troubleshooting, debugging, and upgrading existing systems, deploying programs, and evaluating customer feedback.

The job holder must comply with project plans, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. It is a break-fix role responsible for putting production back together, and items such as vulnerability remediation, maintaining software currency (i.e., application/system patching or upgrading or replacing to a new alternative).
