Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned WAN Support Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong network troubleshooting capabilities, hands-on experience in BGP, and a proven background in WAN operations from Telecom or ISP environments.

  • The role demands operating and supporting WAN networks across global sites in 24/7 rotational shifts.
  • Incident management involves handling L2 escalations and troubleshooting issues related to routing, switching, and WAN link performance.
  • Configuration and maintenance of BGP routing protocols, as well as managing changes, updates, and problem resolutions, are key responsibilities.
  • Collaboration with telecom vendors and ISPs for link provisioning, troubleshooting, and escalations is essential.
  • Documentation skills include maintaining shift handovers, ticket logs, and RCA reports.
  • Ensuring high network uptime and adherence to SLA targets are critical performance indicators.
Requirements

Essential Skills:

  • Knowledge of ITIL processes and familiarity with ticketing tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Remedy).
  • Experience with MPLS, OSPF, QoS technologies.
  • Exposure to enterprise monitoring tools like SolarWinds, Nagios, or PRTG.
  • Ability to create and update network diagrams and SOPs.
