HVAC Design Engineer

Experience: 5-8 Years

Are you an expert in heating, ventilation and air conditioning design?

We are seeking a highly skilled HVAC Design Engineer to lead the development of our building's mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing HVAC Systems: Create comprehensive designs for heating, cooling, ventilation, and air distribution systems.
  • Heat Load Calculations: Perform accurate heat load calculations using software like HAP, Trace 700, or Carrier E-20.
  • Equipment Selection: Select and size HVAC equipment (chillers, AHUs, FCUs, heat exchangers, pumps, etc.) based on project requirements.
  • Ductwork and Piping Layouts: Design ductwork, piping layouts, and control systems using AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and Navisworks.
  • Compliance with Industry Standards: Ensure designs comply with ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, and local building codes.
  • Energy Efficiency Analysis: Perform energy efficiency analysis and optimize HVAC systems for cost and sustainability.
  • Collaboration: Coordinate with MEP engineers, architects, and contractors for system integration.
  • Documentation: Prepare technical reports, specifications, and design documentation for project approvals.
  • Support Project Execution: Assist in tendering, cost estimation, and bid evaluations for HVAC systems.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in HVAC design and engineering.
  • Proficiency in HVAC design software (HAP, Trace 700, Revit MEP, AutoCAD, Carrier E-20).
  • Strong knowledge of duct and pipe sizing, psychrometrics, and refrigeration cycles.
  • Familiarity with ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, and other HVAC standards.
  • Experience in energy modeling and sustainable HVAC system design.
  • Ability to troubleshoot HVAC system performance issues.
