Oracle UIM Consultant

This role provides the opportunity to work with multiple Oracle Communications OSS stack products and contribute to designing, implementing, and managing complex OSS inventory solutions.

  • Lead UIM Cartridge Development: Develop, install, and configure UIM cartridges.
  • Configure Extension Points and Rule Sets: Configure extension points and rule sets for advanced customization.
  • Model Logical and Physical Inventory: Model both logical and physical inventory within UIM cartridges.
  • Integrate with Upstream and Downstream Systems: Integrate UIM with upstream and downstream systems using standard and custom web services, UIM APIs, and SFWS.
  • Work with UIM Inventory Managers: Work with UIM Inventory Managers, including Service Manager, CO Manager, and Search Criteria Manager.
  • Develop Calculate Technical Actions: Develop and configure Calculate Technical Actions for various services.
  • Perform Code Build and Deployment: Perform code build and deployment for development and testing environments.
  • Troubleshoot and Configure Base Application Packages: Troubleshoot and configure base application packages.
  • Maintain Technical and Process Documentation: Maintain technical and process documentation in alignment with organizational standards.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Support End-to-End Implementations: Support end-to-end implementations while ensuring on-time delivery and alignment with best practices.
Required Skills & Competencies
  • Strong Expertise in Oracle UIM: Strong expertise in Oracle UIM (7.2.x).
  • Cartridge Development Experience: Experience in cartridge development, rule set development, and customization.
  • UNIX/Linux Environments Proficiency: Proficiency in UNIX/Linux environments and Unix shell scripting.
  • Core Technical Skills: Core technical skills in Java, PL/SQL, and WebServices (development and debugging).
  • Network Domains Knowledge: Knowledge of network domains such as Wireless, Cable, DSL, and VoIP.
  • Enterprise and Retail Experience: Exposure to Enterprise and Retail Voice/Data/GSM implementations.
  • Conceptual Modeling Knowledge: Conceptual modeling knowledge for logical and physical inventory.
  • Oracle RODOD/RSDOD and TMF/eTOM Familiarity: Familiarity with Oracle RODOD/RSDOD and TMF/eTOM, SID Data Model standards.
  • Strong Troubleshooting Capabilities: Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Collaboration and Communication Skills: Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a collaborative environment.
  • Quick Learning Aptitude: Quick learner with an aptitude for mastering new products and solutions.
Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Related Field: BE/BTech/MCA/MTech in Computer Science, Electrical, Electronics, or Telecommunications.
