Our company requires a skilled Project Manager to lead their Personal Information Protection Act compliance initiative.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive PIPA compliance framework across all business units.
  • Conduct assessments of current data privacy policies, systems, and processes to identify gaps against PIPA requirements.
  • Work with Legal, Risk, IT Security, Compliance, and Business Units to define and implement appropriate controls for data collection, storage, access, and sharing.
  • Establish governance structures, reporting mechanisms, and escalation paths to ensure compliance tracking and accountability.
  • Manage vendor relationships and third-party assessments related to data processing and privacy.
  • Design and facilitate training and awareness programs for staff on data protection principles and responsibilities under PIPA.
  • Prepare project plans, status reports, risk registers, and ensure timely delivery within scope.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders and regulatory bodies regarding PIPA-related matters.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience managing regulatory or compliance-driven projects, preferably in the financial sector.
  • In-depth understanding of data privacy regulations (PIPA, GDPR).
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to translate legal and regulatory requirements into actionable business processes.
  • Experience with change management is an advantage.
