About the Role\Helpers for a seasoned Vice President Site Reliability Engineer are invited to lead our organization's SRE strategy. This key role is responsible for defining and implementing reliability improvements, promoting an "Automate-first" culture in operating services through the reduction of toil, developing methodologies and strategies for identification of toil-heavy and inefficient processes, designing and implementing monitoring strategies, and conducting capacity planning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Developing Service Level Objectives (SLOs) for critical services.
  • Designing and implementing reliability improvements, with a focus on automating toil-heavy and inefficient processes.
  • Promoting an "Automate-first" culture in operating services.
  • Leading architectural reviews for reliability.
  • Driving continuous improvement from incidents.
  • Contributing to the Test and Deployment processes ensuring they are as reliable and automated as possible.
  • Performing chaos engineering exercises.
  • Developing methodologies and strategies for identifying toil-heavy and inefficient processes.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • 12+ years of experience in a SRE role.
  • Hands-on practical experience defining and implementing SLOs and operating to Error Budgets.
  • Experience implementing and operating monitoring and observability technologies for enterprise-grade Production systems.
  • Corporate software development lifecycle methodology knowledge.
  • GitOps knowledge.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Solid understanding of critical Production Support processes.
  • 2+ years of experience with one or more public/private cloud platforms.
  • Comprehensive understanding of SRE principles.
  • Working knowledge of modern observability tooling.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of Configuration Management Solutions such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
