Job Overview:

Medical Billing Specialist Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Billing Specialist to manage the full-cycle physician billing process for multiple Canadian provinces. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills and be able to work effectively in a remote or onsite environment.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Manage all aspects of the physician billing process from claim submission to reconciliation.
  • Ensure accurate and timely claims submissions using platforms like OHIP, MSP, AHCIP, and other provincial systems.
  • Identify and resolve any claim rejections or underpayments in a timely manner.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in provincial billing codes, rules, and regulations.
  • Generate comprehensive billing performance reports and ensure accuracy in monthly reconciliations.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in Canadian physician billing.
  • Strong knowledge of billing systems: OHIP, MSP, AHCIP, RAMQ, etc.
  • Familiarity with EMRs and billing software (e.g., OSCAR, Accuro, Telus Health, MD Billing).
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in multi-specialty physician billing.
  • Prior leadership or team management experience.
  • Certified medical billing training is a plus.
