About the Role

Our company is seeking an experienced software leader to spearhead engineering efforts in a dynamic environment. As a key team member, you will be responsible for architecting and leading initiatives that drive innovation and excellence in our healthcare platform.

The successful candidate will have expertise in designing and implementing distributed microservices, mentoring engineers, ensuring high system reliability, and collaborating across teams to deliver scalable features.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, with experience in backend development, microservice architecture, REST APIs, and service orchestration.

You will also be responsible for defining best practices around CI/CD, testing, and fault tolerance, as well as providing technical guidance through mentoring, design reviews, and code quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation of distributed microservices
  • Establish best practices around CI/CD, testing, and fault tolerance
  • Define API contracts and service interfaces across modules and teams
  • Collaborate with frontend, DevOps, and product to deliver scalable solutions
  • Apply performance tuning to Redis, PostgreSQL, and OpenSearch for real-time workloads
  • Handle production operations, including incident management, observability, and alerts
  • Provide technical leadership through mentoring, design reviews, and code quality

Requirements

  • 7+ years of backend development experience in Kotlin or Java
  • Strong understanding of microservice architecture, REST APIs, and service orchestration
  • Knowledge of Redis (cluster & standalone), OpenSearch, PostgreSQL
  • Experience with messaging/chat systems, notification engines, or AI assistants
  • Familiarity with image processing pipelines
  • Exposure to production deployments on Kubernetes, Docker, AWS or GCP
  • Strong leadership, debugging, and systems thinking skills
