Import Executive Job Description

This is a key role within our organization where you will be responsible for coordinating and managing import activities with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Pre-Export and Post-Export Documentation: Prepare export invoices, packing lists, BL drafts and other related documents as required.
  • Insurance Certificates: Generate insurance certificates through online portals and ensure sufficient insured amount balances are maintained.
  • Hazardous Cargo: Understand hazardous classes, packing groups and prepare dangerous goods declarations.
  • Communication and Coordination: Communicate and coordinate with factories, CHA, forwarding agents, transporters, shipping lines and customers.
  • Negotiation and Approval: Negotiate air or sea freight with forwarders, shipping lines or CHA and approve SB checklists/BOE checklists/AWB drafts/BL drafts etc.
  • Freight Forwarding and Logistics: Coordinate with freight forwarders for flight/vessel bookings and arrange courier shipments through DHL/FedEx.
  • Letter of Credit (LC) Shipments: Understand requirements of SCOMET and narcotics for every shipment.
  • Export Customer Queries: Resolve queries from export customers promptly and efficiently.
  • Transportation and Warehouse Management: Arrange transport for FCL shipments and factory stuffing.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Maintain accurate records for all export shipments, including up-to-date status of EGM and RODTEP benefits.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: Graduation degree
  • Experience: 3+ years experience in the chemical industry (preferably)
  • Skills: Proficiency in MS Office, good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
