Job Description

We're seeking a highly skilled Principal Engineer, Sustaining R&D professional to join our team. In this role, you'll be responsible for conducting development work on major research and development projects, with minimal technical direction and review.

You'll work independently, tackling complex tasks and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive innovation. As an expert in one or more in-house technologies, you'll influence site-wide technology planning and contribute significantly to operational performance improvement.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Performing pioneering engineering work on major programs
  • Driving complex or novel assignments requiring new techniques and procedures
  • Developing new or refined technologies, products, materials, processes, equipment, and scientific methods
  • Providing guidance to product and technology teams
  • Assessing feasibility and soundness of alternative engineering processes
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.E.) or B.Tech
  • Post-graduation preferred
  • Experience in product design and development of medical devices
  • Background in medical device organizations
  • Leadership experience as tech lead and project manager
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a global environment
  • Mentoring and technical leadership capabilities
