Job Description:

As a seasoned database administrator, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing the performance of our Oracle databases. Your expertise in database administration, query optimization, automation, security, and cloud integration will be essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our systems.

You will work closely with our development team to implement automation using Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet to integrate databases into our DevOps/CI-CD pipelines. Your strong hands-on experience in SQL & database administration, combined with your knowledge of cloud platforms and DevOps practices, will enable you to resolve complex database issues efficiently.

In this role, you will also be responsible for handling security, performance tuning, replication, and backups to ensure optimal database operations. Your ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems quickly will be invaluable in maintaining the high level of service we provide to our customers.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Database Administration: Strong expertise in Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MySQL databases.
  • Query Optimization: Ability to write and optimize stored procedures, triggers, and SQL queries for improved performance.
  • Automation and Integration: Experience with Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet for automation and integration with DevOps/CI-CD pipelines.
  • Cloud Integration: Knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud databases and their integration with our infrastructure.
  • Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: Excellent troubleshooting, performance tuning, and problem-solving skills to resolve complex database issues.
