Job Title: Quality Assurance Specialist

About the Position:

This role involves working as part of a QA team to develop and execute comprehensive testing plans.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and maintaining testing documents, managing proper execution of different types of testing, facilitating and participating in regular QA meetings or triage calls, participating in sprint planning and daily stand-ups in Agile environments, managing risks and deliverables, and working with project managers and development teams to report and escalate relevant testing issues and challenges.

Additional responsibilities include providing effort and estimates of testing activities required for projects or deliverables, managing customer demo presentations for project deliverables when needed.

  • Test Planning: Develop thorough test plans that cover all requirements.
  • Test Case Development: Create effective test cases that cater to diverse testing needs.
  • Manual Testing: Conduct meticulous manual testing to identify defects and anomalies.
  • Bug Tracking: Utilize JIRA/AzureDevops for tracking, reporting, and resolving defects.
  • Regression Testing: Perform rigorous regression testing to ensure stability and reliability.

Key qualifications include 5+ years experience in software quality assurance, client-facing experience, expertise in JIRA/AzureDevops, strong communication skills, a degree in computer science, engineering, or related field, experience in Agile testing methodologies and best practices, and familiarity with automation and accessibility tools.

Required skills include manual testing, test planning, test case development, bug tracking, regression testing, SDLC knowledge, mentorship, root cause analysis, and proficiency in JIRA/AzureDevops.
