Job Title: Quality Assurance Specialist

Overview

The role of a QA Specialist plays a crucial part in ensuring the quality and reliability of software delivery. This involves test planning, code quality control, vulnerability assessment, and release preparedness.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute test plans for application interfaces and operations.
  • Maintain quality gates and monitor code quality metrics using Sonar Cloud.
  • Track defects from QA findings.
  • Conduct release readiness reviews and validate quality criteria prior to deployment.
Vulnerability & Security
  • Perform vulnerability scanning and reporting using tools such as Sonar Cloud and Visual Studio.
  • Support audit readiness and escalate unresolved blockers.
Collaboration & Support
  • Participate in weekly QA reviews and collaborate with development leads, operations, and service teams.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for QA-related issues.
Reporting & Documentation
  • Maintain and update system documentation and QA procedures.
  • Prepare weekly status reports detailing progress, testing tasks, and artifact collection.

Additional responsibilities include ensuring smooth operation and integration of QA processes within DevSecOps, supporting release and deployment coordination, and providing training and support to team members.

Core Competencies
  • Proven experience in QA methodologies, test planning, and defect tracking.
  • Knowledge of static code analysis, and vulnerability scanning (e.g. Sonar Cloud).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
