Job Role

The primary responsibility of the position is to provide excellent customer service and promote eye health awareness among customers.

  • Upon greeting and welcoming walk-in customers, the individual will guide them towards the clinic for a complimentary eye check-up.
  • Based on the results of the eye test and customer preferences, the optometrist will consult with the sales associate or store manager to present the customer with a tailored selection of products.
  • During the eye examination, the individual will thoroughly explain the process and duration to the customer, fostering an opportunity to build rapport and convert the check-up into sales.
  • Following the eye check-up, the optometrist will clearly communicate the prescription and educate the customer about single vision and progressive lenses, recommending the most suitable options.
  • The incumbent is expected to meet assigned sales targets, achieve optimal eye-check conversion rates, and adhere to established standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Post-sales, the optometrist will coordinate with customers to arrange product pickup after receiving warehouse confirmation. They will verify the accuracy of fitted lenses before handing over the product and address any returns efficiently.
  • The role involves participation in stocktakes, maintaining sales floor standards, and undertaking daily tasks to ensure exceptional customer experiences.
  • It is essential to maintain Lenskart standards of hygiene across the store's display, frames, instruments, and equipment by conducting regular cleaning routines.
  • The individual must also ensure the security of all equipment.
