This role is ideal for a skilled technologist who excels in building cutting-edge systems and prototypes with a focus on evaluation and guardrails.

Key Responsibilities
  • AI Service Development: Design and implement high-quality AI services, including prompt orchestration, retrieval, tool/function calling, and streaming user experiences.
  • Pipeline Construction: Build robust ingestion/processing pipelines, storage solutions, and delivery mechanisms with strong observability and cost control.
  • Security and Compliance: Implement consent-driven flows, signed links/tokens, rate-limits, audit trails, and abuse prevention measures.
  • Data Ingestion and Processing: Ingest and normalize external data, model entities/relationships, and expose a clean query layer for applications and partners.
  • UI and API Development: Create crisp, modern UIs and APIs for internal/external stakeholders, meeting performance and reliability standards.
  • System Maintenance: Manage logs/metrics/traces, automated tests, incident runbooks, and maintain a stable release cadence.
Requirements
  • Technical Expertise: 6-10+ years of experience building production systems as the primary developer, demonstrating exceptional skills and accomplishments.
  • Problem-Solving: Proven ability to turn ambiguous product problems into working software within days, not quarters.
  • Hands-on Experience: Significant hands-on experience with general AI, including retrieval, tools, streaming, and evaluation, with real users and lessons learned from failures.
  • Systems Thinking: Strong understanding of systems thinking, including data models, consistency trade-offs, performance budgets, and failure handling.
  • Security and Privacy: Demonstrated security and privacy instincts, including PII handling, consent, audit trails, and regulatory awareness.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written communication skills, producing clear and concise documents, READMEs, and runbooks.
