Lead Engineer Job Description

As a seasoned Lead Engineer, you will spearhead the design and development of subsea infrastructure for the oil and gas industry. This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your expertise in subsea pipeline design and analysis to drive project success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Leadership: Develop and lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver complex engineering projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to international standards.
  • Subsea Pipeline Design: Design and implement subsea pipelines and cables, considering factors such as on-bottom stability, wall thickness calculation, pipeline thermal expansion, and crossing analysis.
  • Feasibility Studies: Conduct feasibility studies, route selection, and optimization for subsea cable projects.
  • Software Expertise: Maintain expertise in relevant software, including CAESAR, DNV Software, Mathcad, SAGE, AGA, and ABAQUS.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering, with a Master's degree in Subsea or Ocean Engineering preferred. Minimum 12-15 years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry, preferably from a consultancy organization or EPC contractor, is required.

  • Industry Experience: Minimum 12-15 years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry.
  • Subsea Skills: Expertise in subsea pipeline design and analysis (DNV suit, Stablelines, FATFREE, CAESAR, Autopipe Stress Analysis).
  • International Standards: Familiarity with international codes and standards (API, DNV) and company-specific standards.
