Job Title: Test Specialist

The role of a Test Specialist involves testing software products to ensure they meet quality standards.

As a Test Specialist, you will work independently or as part of a cross-functional team to write and execute test cases. Your duties will include attending daily stand-ups to provide updates, reviewing Change Requests/User Stories/Acceptance Criteria, writing and executing test scripts, reporting defects, periodic reporting of progress for internal/external audiences, and retesting of any defect fixes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support BAU activities by creating and executing detailed test cases.
  • Identify areas of improvement in the testing life cycle and share the same with the Test Lead to reduce time to deployment and ensure quality of test deliverables.
  • Document processes or procedures that may be of benefit to other testers.
  • Invest in personal training and development to maintain and advance your performance overtime.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years commercial manual software testing experience.
  • Strong experience and knowledge of software testing lifecycle with Agile, Waterfall and mixed methodologies.
  • Experience planning the application and reporting of internal and external testing phases.
  • Time spent working in cross-functional team environments.
  • Good working knowledge of relevant technologies and concepts including SQL Server, Client/Server applications, CRM, Postman, Utilities industry.
  • Bachelor's Degree in an IT related degree, or comparable professional development and commercial experience.
  • ISTQB Foundation certification.
