Job Opportunity:

  • We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to lead our Infrastructure Operations team.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our infrastructure, including on-premise data centers and cloud deployments. They will analyze existing infrastructure effectiveness and develop strategies for improvement or leveraging these systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement an infrastructure strategy that aligns with organizational objectives.
  • Analyze existing infrastructure and identify areas for improvement.
  • Negotiate purchases of software, hardware, and IT supplies as approved by management.
  • Manage inventory of software licenses, software, hardware, and other IT supplies.
  • Collaborate with senior management and peers on matters requiring acceptance of alternative approaches.
  • Oversee outsourced teams for daily operations and activities.
  • Provide solutions to complex business problems, requiring in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives.
  • Perform live DR activities and periodic DR drills.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of servers, storage, databases, operating systems (Windows and Linux), and networks.
  • Ensure production incident management and regulatory compliance.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Preferred Profile:

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in infrastructure management, covering on-premise data centers and cloud infrastructures.

Desirable Skills:

  • Program and project management expertise.
  • Planning and executing infrastructure-related projects.
  • In-depth hands-on knowledge of infrastructure, including servers, storage, databases, operating systems (Windows and Linux), and networks.
  • Strong understanding and exposure to cloud computing.

Competencies:

  • Ability to perform infrastructure discovery assessments and transformation strategies.
  • Holistic understanding of all data center functions, including production operations, change control, DR/business recovery, helpdesk, systems management, and facilities.
  • Experience with private and public cloud architectures, pros/cons, and migration consideration.
