Database Specialist Role

Overview of the Position:

We are seeking a highly skilled Database Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining databases to store and manage large amounts of data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain databases to ensure efficient storage and management of data.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity by implementing quality control measures.
  • Analyze data to identify trends and patterns, and provide actionable insights to support business decisions.
  • Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to visualize data and facilitate informed decision-making.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless data-driven decision making.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • At least 7+ years of experience in database management and administration, preferably in a related field.
  • Exceptional Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis and visualization.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Access/SQL database management, with expertise in data modeling and query optimization.
  • Familiarity with major LIS and EMR systems, such as Epic, Cerner/Oracle, Meditech, SCCSoft lab, Orchard, NextGen.
  • Clinically oriented and fluent in medical terminology.
  • Ability to communicate effectively within peer groups, multitask, and adhere to stringent deadlines.
  • Ability to quickly learn new systems and technologies.
